Great news for the conservationists! Due to the discovery of a rare Orchid our patch has been designated a SSSI, Site of Special Scientific Interest. This does mean that we have to protect the wild flowers by not mowing between 1st April and 31st September, so we need to start looking at bigger wheels for our undercarriage ( Belated April Fools joke )

Club Secretary's Section 1. You will have noticed that there was a ‘call to action’ in this month BMFA News. We would urge you all to write a letter, as requested, in opposition to the proposed registration scheme (unless you support it of course).
2. If you fly by yourself at Queens Field, please put the warning sign out, but then relock the container and your car, as there has been an incidence of a young scallywag going into the container, possibly to check out the contents.
3. The ‘Fly in’ at Poulshot club on the 9th of June draws closer and some idea of numbers attending would be handy. Please let me know if you are likely to attend. Thanks.
Ed's Sign off Usual reminders: Noise. Please remember that the club has a maximum noise level, the meter is available from Rex or Mark. Sunday power flying is restricted to the morning only and afternoon to electric only with a noise level of 62db.
