Good evening guys, well here we are again, spring is finally upon us, No more freezing rain and cold toes – yeah right! Anyway at least the clocks have changed. I hope that you are all well and ready for the 2015 flying season unless of course you have already started that is, I suppose we are three months into the year now!
The committee would like to thank everybody who attended the AGM back in November (seems like such a long time ago!) I believe that twenty eight of us in total came along, which is a decent turnout indeed. As usual lots was discussed and it was quite a success. Thanks must go to Rex for sorting out the venue and all of that food!
Queens Field and Hullavington
As you are aware last October the Gate code for Queens’s field changed, unfortunately since then the padlock had been left hanging unlocked on the chain and some strange weirdo with nothing better to do decided that they’d change the code, obviously resulting in a bit of hassle! The padlock is welded to the chain so it cannot go walkies, however after opening the gate please snap the padlock shut so that mister weirdo does not change the code again.
As the beginning of the season is upon us, now seems like a good time to remind ourselves that we must carry both our BMFA and our club membership card when visiting both flying sites and present them when requested.
2015 Diary Dates Keith is hard at it again and we have agreed on these dates for some of our usual events, we have tried to arrange them so they do not clash with any shows. Just need the weather to lend a hand.
- Charlton Park 6th and 7th June
- Nwmac scale and vintage day Saturday 20th June
- Combat day Saturday 26th September
Thank you for taking the time to read this guys, I hope to see you all down the field over the next month or so.
For Sale etc If anybody has anything for sale they would like popped in the newsletter please do let me know, plus Steve has added a new ‘for sale, exchange and wanted’ section to the website which is available to use.
